Health and Wellness Goals
We offer a range of options to help support your health and wellness goals and promote healing. Some of these treatments may improve skin health and may even hold anti-aging properties. Some treatment protocols may help prepare your body for surgery and aid in the repair process afterward. They also may help support your immune system and can boost athletic performance. Your naturopath will discuss the different types of therapy and the possible benefits of each with you.
IV therapy is a great option for a great deal of individuals and conditions, but it is not suitable for everyone. Those with G6PD deficiency, kidney or liver damage/dysfunction, very low platelet count, pregnant women, high blood pressure, congestive heat failure (CHF) and diabetes may not qualify. This will be discussed in your initial consult.
It is important to monitor your overall well-being. It is not uncommon you may feel a little sleepy after your treatment, though some people feel energized after the treatment as well. It is common, but insignificant, to get a funny taste in your mouth due to the B-vitamins, and glutathione drips may cause your urine to have a sulphurous (rotten eggs) smell. You may notice bruising at the IV puncture site in the days following the IV, this should dissipate within a week. If you notice swelling around the puncture site during the treatment, this indicates the needle has been dislodged from the vein and the IV will be discontinued immediately. Your doctor will explain some more serious but rare complications to look out for during and in the days following your IV treatment.
