Microneedling in Calgary AB

Microneedling is commonly referred to as "collagen induction therapy" as it turbo boosts the body's natural collagen production process. As we age, our ability to produce collagen and elastin drastically drops leading to loss of elasticity and wrinkle formation.

What is microneedling in Calgary AB? During the treatment, micro-channels are created in the Dermal layer of the skin where collagen and elastin are produced. When a micro-channel is created, the body floods it with blood containing growth hormones and nutrients that act like a fertilizer for the body to turbo boost collagen growth. Strong, healthy collagen is what supports the skin in the face and combats early loss of elasticity and sagging. This results in firmer, tighter skin and a more youthful appearance.

Microneedling is also widely known for effective results in scar revision from injury, surgery or post-acne scarring. The needles assist in breaking down scar tissue and stimulating the body to produce new, strong, healthy collagen fibers to replace scar tissue which results in flatter, smoother, less noticeable scars.

Down time of 48 hours is suggested as the skin may be red and inflamed for a period of 2 - 5 days after treatment. Sun exposure must be avoided for a minimum of 1 week after treatment. Results are visible after a single session, and best results can be observed with 3 sessions performed one month apart.
