Are you looking for skin tag, mole, or milia removal in Calgary AB? We provide a new method of treating skin tags, moles, milia and other unwanted cosmetic imperfections that is different from the traditional removal methods of liquid nitrogen or excision with a scalpel.
How is our method different in Calgary AB?
We use a gentle heat system which utilizes a current called Radio Frequency (low level heat). The machine delivers the current through a tiny probe the size of a strand of hair which enables pinpoint accuracy in treating the unwanted area only while leaving the surrounding tissue untouched. This method is perfect for treating the smallest skin tag or other imperfection on the delicate skin surrounding the eyes with zero risk to the eye itself.
Traditional methods include liquid nitrogen which is “freezing” the cells effectively producing frost bite in the area to destroy the tissue. Not only is this method very painful, but also has a large amount of overspray that destroys healthy tissue surrounding the area you want removed. This means a much larger area is treated than necessary resulting in unsightly, large scars. The area also tends to blister and bleed which increases risk of infection, takes longer to heal and requires more in-depth wound care at home. This method cannot be used too close to the eye as the risk of overspray into the eye itself and damaging the eye is too great a risk.
The other other traditional method most often used by doctors or dermatologists is removal by cutting with a scalpel and then stitching. This method removes many deeper layers of tissue than necessary and generally requires a stitch which results in either a raised or depressed scar as extra tissue is cut out. This is not ideal on the face and most definitely not a welcome method around the eye area.
